Where are your coats made?
At present, all of our coats are handmade-to-order by professional tailors and seamstresses in the Fashion District of downtown Los Angeles.
Does my coat need to be dry-cleaned?
No! We know that the lives of medical and other professionals are busy enough without the added hassle and expense of dry-cleaning wardrobe items. The accent piping in our coats was chosen specifically not to bleed when machine-washed according to the care instructions on the coat label.
Can I order coats for my entire office?
We would be honored! Please contact our Customer Service Department directly at 646-WCOATJM (646-926-2856) for orders of 10 or more coats.
What is your return policy?
We hope that you will be thrilled with your genuine Jess and Malena white coat. However, if you are not completely satisfied with your coat, please contact our Customer Service Department at 646-WCOATJM or email customerservice@jessandmalena.com to initiate a return. Unworn coats that have not been customized and retain labels may be returned for a refund (shipping not included); we regret that coats that have been embroidered, worn, or altered may not be returned.
What size coat do I need?
One that fits, of course! Please review our sizing chart to find your perfect match.
Do you offer gift packaging?
At this time, we do not offer special gift packaging. However, all of our coats are lovingly wrapped in tissue paper before being sent to their new homes.
Can I get my name embroidered on the coat?
Yes! When placing your order, check the box for "embroidery," choose your font and color, and enter your name or the name of your institution. Although we don't currently offer logo embroidery, we hope to add this feature in the near future!
Do you have a retail location where I can try the coats on?
Unfortunately, we are only able to offer coats online at this time. Please review our sizing chart to find the perfect fit and check out our return policy in case your coat does not meet your needs.
Are the coats compliant with OSHA requirements?
Yes! Our coats meet the minimum standards for low absorbability and high breathability.
How quickly will I receive my coat?
Because our coats are handmade-to-order, you will receive your coat within 7-10 business days of placing your order. If you opted to add embroidery to your coat, you will likely receive your order within 10 business days.
How much will shipping cost? Can I get overnight shipping?

Can I deduct my coat purchase on my taxes?
If you plan to use your coat(s) at work, you should be able to write it off on your taxes. Please consult your tax preparer about your specific situation.
Will the colors in the piping bleed when machine washed? How durable are the coats?
We only purchase piping that will not bleed from our suppliers, and we have tested it by washing the coats multiple times. If you follow the care instructions, your white coat will remain just that - white. Our coats are constructed from high-quality, OSHA-approved, and are designed to withstand daily use.
